9th AAvPA 2010: Managing Safety - Maximising Performance

From 18-22 April some 155 safety professionals, human factors experts, aviation psychologists and academics got together in Novotel Brighton Beach (Sdyney) to challenge current practise and reflect on our recent successes in aviation, healthcasre and transport safety. The 9th International Symposium of the Australian Aviation Psychology Association (AAvPA) set yet again an outstanding program of leading international and local speakers and interactive workshops and panel discussions. Dr. Barabra Burian from NASA AMES Research Centre in the US, Dr Stephen Jarvis from the Cranfield University in the UK and Gary Hook from the NATO HF Working Group shared their views and experience about their battle of human error during daily operations.
